Yeah – having everything knowingly being intercepted on it’s way to you is a bit of a black hole and tells Amazon as much as Google knows about you! I was also wondering if Amazon could swap out standard web elements like, say, AdSense ads… and replace them with their own? It’ll be interesting to see what people think after using it for a while. The UK cost is a big concern too; £130, £200, more? (Especially given the smaller size and lack of features such as the camera).

I’m thus far unconvinced by the privacy/security aspects of Silk. Will be interesting if Firefox/Android is allowed, and if the processor has enough grunt to do without the server side assistance.
